California Governor Brow Grants 36 Pardons and 31 Commutations

SACRAMENTO, CA – There are some very happy inmates in California as Governor Edmund Brown Jr. announced, Friday, August 17th announced his decision to grant pardons to those that completed their sentences years ago and the majority were convicted of drug related or other non-violent crimes.

He went on to explain that “pardons are not granted unless they are earned”.

The CA Department of Justice and FBI have been notified so they can update their records.  Additionally, the pardons have been filed with the California Secretary of State and the Legislature making the pardons part of public record.
