As scooters are increasingly popular, regulations are being considered in cities across the country

COLUMBUS, OH – Scooters have become popular as an easy and economical means of transportation in many cities across the county.  While many foreign countries embraced scooters years ago, American culture has been slow to embrace their easy, affordable and fun method of transportation.  Now that America is grasping the concept, many cities are struggling how to better regulate their use to assure safety for everybody concerned.

While some cities are taking a less cooperative approach, Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a “thoughtful” approach to resolve the issue.

Bexley, Upper Arlington have issued a ban from using scooters.  While this approach is overly aggressive, and some might argue, unconstitutional, Columbus is trying to consider both sides of the fence to develop resolution’s to the concern.
